Amelia "Rochelle" Narain is a Nurse, a Wife, a Mother, and Alternative Health Consultant. She is the founder of In My Garden Health and Lifestyle Consultants. Amelia consults, teaches, and treats patients using some integrative method but primarily alternative methods including lifestyle, diet and some herbal remedies. All are underpinned by her spiritual belief that the body is a temple in which we each are accountable for maintaining in the healthiest condition possible.
She is a big believer in patient Self-Determination and responsibility. She strongly supports patient's rights and accountability for their own health. Each patient-provider interaction is to be a collaboration of patient needs and goals with provider listening and making recommendations as indicated.
Amelia is a qualified Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner with a Master's degree in Nursing. She specializes in Geriatrics. Prior to obtaining that degree she worked in General surgery, Ears Nose and Throat, and Cardiology. She has since trained as an Alternative HealthCare Provider. Because of her passion for health and belief that food is medicine and health is comprehensive, she has pursed many areas (self-taught) such as Canning, Dehydrating, and Herbal medicine making as means to teach others health independence. She was a homeschool teacher for 10 years and served as Health Ministries Director multiple times in her community of faith. She regularly speaks on a call in program called "Phone Faith" for the visually impaired. Teaching about various Health topics.
Amelia is no stranger to nursing it is her passion. She has practiced and is interested in working with individuals who are seeking to take an active part in their own health by changing their current lifestyle and diet with goal of reducing chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and other chronic illness.
She can help you to finally execute the "how" of things you've been told by your health provider and understand the "why" through her teaching and consulting.
