How to find Safe Hand Sanitizer

SAFE HAND SANITIZER: Not All Are Created Equal

Ok, so here we are, four months into this COVID-19 scenario. Life has forever changed and we are still being bombarded with news of one CRISIS or the other. Finding Safe Hand sanitizers is also a PERMANENT part of our daily life. Who would have dreamed this up a year ago? WOW! What a difference a day makes. So with this new and permanent addition to our daily regimen, like brushing your teeth and combing your hair we now have the repeated daily use of Hand Sanitizers. We can’t do anything about this new requirement but we CAN and SHOULD be WISE about our choice or brand of product.

One Simple Question

So, my question to you is “are you paying attention? Do you know what you are buying and what product to choose out of the many?” As Capital One says “What’s in your..”… SANITIZER? Is it Safe? As of today, there are 14 hand sanitizers that have been pulled off the market due to contaminants such, as gasoline by-products, methane (methanol), and benzene. All of these products are DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH. According to the FDA “, they can cause Nausea, Vomiting, and are carcinogenic. They can be toxic when absorbed through the skin. Safe Hand sanitizer is a necessity!

According to the FDA it “is not an acceptable active ingredient for hand sanitizers and must not be used due to its toxic effects.” The agency said, “it is aware of cases of adults and children who have ingested hand sanitizer made with methanol, which has led to blindness, hospitalizations, and death.“ The FDA said that consumers who have been exposed to products with methanol and who are having symptoms should seek immediate treatment to reverse the effects of methanol poisoning, which can include nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision or permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system, or death.

Who are susceptible?

“Young children who accidentally ingest these products and adolescents and adults who drink these products as an alcohol (ethanol) substitute, are most at risk,” the FDA said.
How could this possibly happen? Did you know that Ethanol or Ethyl Alcohol is used to make FUEL for your vehicles? The by-products in the hand sanitizer can be due to poorly cleaned Ethanol from fuel.
Are you concerned yet? Do you want to find a product you can trust?

COVID-19 Safe Hand sanitizer is categorized by the CDC and W.H.O as either 75% Isopropyl Alcohol or 80% Ethanol Alcohol
